A look into my 3D scanning process:
First The Objects are scanned with a mobile phone app.
Objects are then turned into files that can be used in different ways.
The files include: Gif, OBJ, STL, USDZ, and GLB files. Also include the texture file.
This is a Quartz stone, converted into an OBJ file on unreal engine. You can inspect the geometric structures that your object possesses through different filters.
These files can also be used in Augmented Reality. This is a 3D rendering of a volcanic stone placed on a real sheet of paper. The program also casts a shadow for the object.
You may also bring these files into a digital environment. I use Unreal Engine for this process.
